Guess who’s visiting MTV tomorrow…

So the career center at Wesleyan posted “career outlook” opportunities every winter break. Students can be paired with a Wesleyan alumni or parent, visit them for a day to bug them see how they work, “job-shadowing” so to say…
Apparently one Wesleyan alumni (‘91) was appointed president of MTV just last year.
His office/studios is, well, at times square! The offered program will consist of presentations by EVPs of some of MTV’s departments, tour around the building, and lunch with the president.
I applied cos I figured I’d be back from Germany by then… and hey, they must have liked my cover letter-slash-ethnomusicology essay. Nyan.
So tomorrow I am headed to New York City with Hsiao-Tung who’s gonna look for paper sources in the NYC public library- and hopefully we could walk around for a bit (Asian supermarketssss) before going back to campus later tomorrow night. Better sleep now so I can wake up on time.
EXCITED
Whether or not I end up working in the music/entertainment industry, if all goes well, one day I would be the cool grandma who told her grandkids about hanging out with the president at the MTV HQ…
